For 1-4 people in the same room, the size of the Speak 410s and Speak 510s are perfect for instant conferencing and videoconferencing on a smaller scale. The personal – yet professional – speakerphones are portable and lightweight, and turn any room into a conference room to facilitate collaboration the simple way. The slim profile and included zippered neoprene travel pouch allow for easy and protected travel.

All of the Speak series devices have user-friendly features such as the LED soft buttons at the top of the speakerphone, which allow you to answer, end, and mute calls at the tap of a button. You can also turn the speaker on and off; adjust the volume with the Volume + and Volume - buttons, and check the Battery Level. Tap the Battery Level button and all of the LEDs light up to show the charge level. Omni-directional microphones make this an ideal collaboration solution and with up to 15 hours battery life, for optimal performance.

The Speak series is optimized for Unified Communications with straightforward USB and/or Bluetooth connectivity for immediate conference call set up using your PC or smartphone/tablet. Skype for Business certified versions are available, too.

Speak 410

The Jabra Speak 410 is the most basic of the family and connects via USB only; the connection cord wraps around the device and is secured there. The connection cord cannot be removed, so you will always have it when you need it. To make the conference call private, the Speak 410 has a 3.5mm headset port to plug your Jabra headset into. MSRP for the Speak 410 is $129.00.

Speak 510

The Jabra Speak 510 offers USB and Bluetooth connectivity options. Connect to your PC, smartphone, tablet, or Bluetooth headset. When you're not on a call, you can use the device as a music speaker. MSRP is $149.00.

Speak 510+

The Jabra Speak 510+ offers USB and Bluetooth connectivity with extensive wireless range for more flexibility to collaborate with your contacts however you choose. The USB dongle to the laptop means you can benefit from up to approximately 325 feet of wireless range to move the conference call to the best place. This device also has the 3.5mm jack port to connect your headset; turn a public conference room discussion into a private smartphone call in seconds.

The included Jabra Link 370 BT USB dongle provides added wireless flexibility, for example:
  1. When a public meeting space needs to become private and you need to move the device into a private room.
  2. If the current conference space becomes too noisy and you need a ‘closed door’ for enhanced focus and collaboration. MSRP is $179.00.

Speak 710

The Jabra Speak 710 brings a new feature to the Speak family: it can be paired with another Jabra Speak 710 wirelessly — within seconds. Two Speak 710s linked together will easily cover a meeting room of 12 people and lets you enjoy even more powerful, stereo music.

In addition, the Speak 710 brings new features to the Speak series. This includes a folding stand that is stored in the back of the unit, a storage spot for the included Link 370 dongle, and a one-touch Smart Button that makes interacting with a digital assistant (such as MS Cortana, Siri and Google Now) a breeze. MSRP for the Speak 710 is $314 and the Speak 710 is available in both UC and Microsoft certified versions.

Speak 750

The Jabra Speak 750 offers full duplex audio which transmits both sides of the conversation at the same time, allowing your conversations to flow just as they do in person. The Speak 750 has the same buttons and functions as the Speak 710. New to the Speak 750: the Certified for Microsoft Teams certified variant has a dedicated Teams button and a supporting LED light located next it. The Microsoft Teams button lights up purple, and the supporting LED light flashes white for notifications. Tap the Microsoft Teams button to join meetings and see when you have an upcoming call, missed calls and voicemails. MSRP is $329.

Speak 810

The Jabra Speak 810 is a premium grade speakerphone that connects via USB and Bluetooth (NFC/MFI) and 3.5mm jack cable for smartphone or tablet connection. The broadest range of connectivity in the Jabra Speak Series, the Speak 810 is ideal for hassle free, simple conference call set-up in seconds, for collaboration with up to 15 attendees in the same meeting room for perfect sound.

Using ZoomTalk microphones for excellent audio quality, the mics uniquely detect the human voice and not the ambient room noises (such as people eating or keyboard tapping) making the Jabra Speak 810 the ideal choice for those empathetic to those working remotely and dialing in to the call. ZoomTalk makes it easy to hear, and easy to be heard, no matter where you are located.

With a USB charge out port for charging your tablet or smartphone the Jabra Speak 810 offers you the full flexibility to connect however you want to without the worry of battery life. A/C powered yet lightweight, the Jabra Speak 810 is portable from room to room as required. However the Kensington lock secure port means you can keep it securely locked to replace more traditional dial pad and fixed meeting room collaboration solutions.

An optional USB Bluetooth dongle can be purchased for approximately 325 feet of wireless range away from your PC or laptop.

MSRP for the Speak 810 is $599.00.

With the variety of choices available, the Speak series from Jabra is truly a professional and flexible solution for your conferencing and video conferencing needs. Contact us to learn more about the Speak family today!

Jabra Speak 510 vs. Jabra Speak 510+ ... What's the Difference?

July 11th, 2019  •   0 Comments

Jabra Speak speakerphones are the perfect size for small conference rooms, huddle rooms, and individual use. They are easy to use, with Plug and Play technology and excellent sound quality. The Speak 510 devices are among the most popular from the series, because they offer wireless connection via Bluetooth.

We are frequently asked "what is the difference between the Speak 510 and Speak 510+?" The only difference between the 2 versions of the 510 is the Link 370 USB Dongle, which is included with the Speak 510+ version.

That's it! That's the only difference. But it’s a big one, because that USB Dongle gives you up to 100 feet of range with the Speak 510+ from your computer, allowing you to position the speakerphone wherever you need to, completely wirelessly. We definitely recommend the Speak 510+ over the Speak 510 for this very reason. If you need to connect to computer at all, the “+” is the way to go and well worth the extra $30.

The discreet plug and play USB dongle ensures quality of sound and an extended wireless range up to 100 feet. When the Link 370 is connected to your Jabra speakerphone, the HD Voice lets you experience high-definition, crystal-clear sound and enjoy life-like conversations. In addition, HiFi Audio Streaming with A2DP allows you to stream music in amazing HiFi quality.

There are four different options of Speak 510 devices: either Speak 510 or Speak 510+, and either UC or Microsoft Certified Versions. If you are using a Microsoft platform (Lync, Skype for Business, or Teams) we recommend that you purchase the MS version of the Speak you prefer.

What We Love at Avcomm Solutions

February 14th, 2017  •   0 Comments

Since it is the season of celebrating love, we put together this list of a few of the things we love at our office.

Headsets

As a leading reseller of headsets, we are fortunate to test all of the high quality professional headsets that we sell. Some of our favorites today include the Jabra Evolve 40 and Evolve 65, Sennheiser SD Pro 1 and SD Pro 2, Jabra BIZ 2300, VXi V150 and from Plantronics, the Voyager Focus and Savi W730.

Why do we love these headsets? Many of them are wireless, lightweight, comfortable, and offer flexible connections. Whether we're on phone calls, streaming music, participating in webinars or videoconferencing, in the office or traveling, the headsets provide quality sound, noise cancelling mics, and in the case of the Voyager Focus, Active Noise Cancelling in the ear speakers that can be switched on and off.

The choice between corded or wireless; Bluetooth or DECT; single or duo ear; wearing style; desk phone, PC or mobile phone connection, and so much more means that you are getting a custom headset for your unique situation. The technology in these headsets is also top-of-line: hearing protections, wideband audio, and in the case of USB or UC headsets, firmware updates.

By no means is this an exhaustive list of our favorites; however, it is indicative of the size and scope of headsets that we offer.

Speakerphones

Turning our attention to conference phones and speakerphones, we are again fortunate to test most of the units that we sell. Some of our favorites include the Jabra Speak 510+, Konftel 300 and Sennheiser TeamConnect Wireless.

For smaller room conferencing needs, the Jabra Speak 510+ (both UC and MS versions) is perfect for those break-out sessions (less than 7 people). The 510+ comes with a Bluetooth dongle that will connect your PC to the Speak unit. It is also Bluetooth-enabled for conferences via smartphone or tablet, and can be hard-wired to a PC with the included USB cable that wraps underneath the speaker. This USB cable is connected to the Speak 510, so that it can never be accidentally misplaced.

For analog conference lines, the Konftel 300 is a top choice. Its sleek design looks great on any conference table, and the large buttons on the unit make call dialing easy. We also love its versatility, since it can also be connected to PCs, and with the purchase of an accessory cable, the unit can also be connected to smartphones and tablets. Expansion mics are available as an optional purchase to increase the coverage area of the Konftel 300. The final selection in this category is the Sennheiser TeamConnect Wireless system, which we use every week for our Monday morning meetings. With our work-at-home staff calling in, and the staff here in the office spread throughout a large-sized room, TeamConnect Wireless satellite mics can be placed strategically to pick up voices, no matter where they're located! The handy, hard-sided charging case that comes with this system truly makes the TeamConnect Wireless the most diverse conference unit that we offer.

Goodies

We are fortunate that our local Mountain Man representative keeps us stocked with candy, nut and snack choices. Passing through the break room, you're bound to find something yummy to munch on! A staff favorite: Cherry Sours candy. For salty snacks, our local popcorn company, Le-Vi Kettle Corn, delivers a variety of popcorn flavors that please most everyone.

We cannot forget about the beverages that keep us going, including our morning pot of LaRue Coffee, based out of Omaha, NE. The variety pack delivers deliciousness on the daily ... and offers such delectable choices as Chocolate Hazelnut, Jamaican Me Crazy and French Vanilla ... what more could an office staff want? After lunch, our beverage choices turn to our basket full of (caffeine free) Bigelow Teas. From Ginger Snappish to Girl Scout Thin Mints, the selection of choices keeps us nice and warm, especially during our cold Nebraska winters!

What do you love about your office? Leave us a comment on the Comments tab, above.

This sleek speakerphone packs a lot of punch in just a 6-ounce device! Measuring 5.3" x 7.2" x 2.2" its small size belies its ability to turn any room into a conference room. The 360 degree microphone allows everyone on the call to hear and be heard from all angles. When you're off the call, use the Jabra Speak 510/510+ for your music and other multimedia.

The Speak 510 is easy to use and truly "plug and play." When you take the Speak 510 out of the box, you can plug the USB cable (wrapped around the base of the unit) into a USB port on your PC. It automatically turns on when connected to your PC. With the Speak 510+ model, simply plug the included Bluetooth dongle into a USB port on your PC for complete wireless freedom of up to 300 feet!

Connect the Speak 510 and Speak 510+ to your tablet or smartphone via Bluetooth, by pressing the On/Off button on the speakerphone for 2 seconds until all the lights flash. Next, press the Bluetooth button on the Speak 510 until you see the blue light flash and you hear connection instructions. Release the button. On your smartphone or tablet, enable Bluetooth and select Jabra 510 from the list of available Bluetooth devices. Voila! Instant Bluetooth connectivity!

The product features eight LED soft buttons which allow you to answer, end and mute calls at the tap of a button. You can also turn the speaker on and off; adjust the volume with the Volume + and Volume - buttons, and check the Battery Level. Tap the Battery Level button and all of the LEDs light up to show the charge level.
