January 20th, 2020 • 0 Comments
Wireless headsets by Sennheiser offer iconic design, all-day comfort and legendary Sennheiser sound. They allow you to move around freely and stay connected so that you can keep working — wherever you are. And you can count on clear sound even in the busiest work environment, both in and out of the office. The 2-year warranty from Sennheiser is twice as long as competitor warranties on wireless headsets, giving you peace of mind.
You have options with Sennheiser wireless headsets. A few of the choices: mono or duo ear; noise-cancelling or ultra noise-cancelling microphones; a variety of wearing styles (over the head, behind the neck and over the ear); and various connection methods. If you're not sure exactly what you need, we're here to help! A few simple questions will narrow the choices and you will be using your wireless headset in no time flat!
SDW 5016 is the convertible model. In busy office environments, where you may be wearing your headset all day long, the flexibility of changing wearing style can enhance long-term comfort. The FlexFit wearing style system offers the choice between a headband, ear hook or neckband solution for the perfect customized fit. All three wearing styles are included in the box.
SDW 5036 and SDW 5066 are the mono and duo versions. The leatherette ear cushions adjust to the wearer; both side to side and up and down. The headband has a comfortable rubber piece at the top. Note: the SDW base station works with all SDW 5000 headsets.

A comfortable headband and soft leatherette ear cushions have a professional polish, and accomplish all the same tasks as the Presence - just with a different look. The office worker who makes most of their calls on their smartphones may appreciate the MB Pro 1 and MB Pro 2.
The MB (Mobile Business) Pro series is the first to offer Room Experience technology, which reduces listener fatigue by giving all-day headset users the impression they are having a conversation with a person in the same room. This realistic sound provides a more natural and comfortable listening experience with less stress in noisy environments.
To focus on work, and not on distracting background noises, the MB 660 MS has large ear cups with Active Noise Cancelling. By constantly monitoring the background environment for noise, Sennheiser’s NoiseGard hybrid adaptive ANC technology seamlessly adjusts the level of noise reduction in your headset. This unique technology enables you to take control of your sound environment, so you can have a productive, disruption-free workspace. While there is no microphone boom, the MB 660s offer triple digital mics with Advanced Own Voice Detecting, WindSafe and Speak Focus technology for clear conversation. A hard-sided carry case is included for easy travel.
MB 360 UC also has a boomless mic design, with two digital noise-canceling microphones. ANC reduces background noise to increase focus on your work. The MB 360 UC has a unique robust, foldable headband design and soft-sided pouch for storage and travel.

Plantronics Voyager 3200 UC a Must-Have Bluetooth Headset
November 1st, 2017 • 0 Comments
Plantronics has made the good even better with the newest iteration of the Edge Bluetooth headset, the Voyager 3200 UC.
It is diminutive in size, yet the mic was able to pick up everything we said; our callers couldn't believe we were talking to them on a Bluetooth headset. The mic muffled and/or blocked out people talking in the office (depending upon the volume of their voice), so that callers could not hear exactly what was being said around us. In our testing, the 40 mph winds (no kidding!) raged around us, and they were picked up by the mic, but not so much that we could not be heard on the other end.
The Voyager 3200 UC comes with 3 different sizes of ear gels for a personalized fit, and a lightweight ear hook. We did not test it with the ear hook, because it felt stable enough in-ear that we didn't worry about it falling off while walking around. Once we were out of range of the iPhone, the headset "spoke" with the notification that the device was out of range.
The portable charging case with strap to hang it from a belt loop, bag handle, or purse strap, is a great addition to this headset. Not only does it store the headset, and charge it on-the-go, the case also houses the USB dongle in the front - simply open the small "door" on the front and that's where the dongle is stored. Battery charge levels are easy to discern at a glance; simply swipe a finger down the front of the case (on either side of the headset) and up to 3 blue lights will light up showing a full charge.
Take advantage of the Plantronics software-enabled functionality in 2 ways:
•The Hub mobile app locates your lost headset, changes languages, wirelessly update firmware, personalize settings and alerts, and enable smart sensor capabilities.
•Use Plantronics Hub desktop software to view headset battery meter, change language, update firmware, enable softphone call control, or personalize settings and alerts.
There are so many features packed into this small device, it's hard to share all of them here. Do you have a question about the Plantronics Voyager 3200 UC, or a different Bluetooth headset? Give us a call at 1-866-998-9991 and we can guide you to the device of your dreams.

MDA100 QD and MDA220 USB Bring Unity to Communications Solutions
April 5th, 2017 • 0 Comments
With the introduction of the MDA200, Plantronics asserted itself as a leader in Unified Communications for hardware solutions.
The device, and its sister, the MDA100 QD, are complementary audio switchers that function with a variety of headsets to ensure smooth communication, whether it's on your desk phone, soft phone, and even smartphone! Plantronics has replaced the MDA200 with the new MDA220 USB, which features improved echo cancellation and enhanced headset compatibility.
Our testing of the MDA220 USB found that the device is pretty much the best thing since sliced bread! This device enables corded USB headsets and UC-enabled Bluetooth headsets (those with USB dongles) to be used with a desk phone and gives the user the option of switching between the desk phone and computer. When using a Bluetooth headset with the MDA220 USB, it allows for triple connection to your smartphone, desk phone and computer. It’s ideal for Unified Communications environments where desk phones are still present. And, what we really love about the MDA220 USB is that is now gives us the ability to use an active noise cancelling headset with our desk phone.
As office designs are quickly converting to open floor plans, we have received many inquiries from customers who are looking for a desk phone compatible headset that will provide active noise cancellation in the speakers. While Plantronics and Jabra both offer ANC headsets, they are strictly USB connection and unless you have an MDA220 USB, you won’t be able to use them with your desk phone.
We did thorough testing with several headsets, and did not need to stay within the Plantronics brand. As a disclaimer, Plantronics only guarantees the use of the MDA220 USB with a specific list of headsets that is continually updated.
The MDA100 QD is used with corded Quick Disconnect headsets and enables the user to toggle back and forth from USB to desk phone. There is a Mute button at the top of the MDA100 QD. When the mute is activated, the button is depressed and the area surrounding the button is red. Release the button and the mute is turned off.
Plantronics recommends this product for customer service centers who are transitioning from desk phones to softphones and unified communications (UC), and require users to manage audio from two sources with a single headset.
The MDA220 USB and MDA100 QD audio switching devices utilize the headsets you already have in place and connect them to audio endpoints for the best use of your resources. Interested in learning more about the MDA family? Contact us!
